Tipton Associates transformed the 1955 McEwen Dining Hall, located in the Elon Historic Neighborhood, with a gut renovation of the existing 15,000 sf, two-story building as well as a new two-story 15,000 sf addition. Completely updated dining now features AYCE (All You Care to Eat) Dining as well as nationally known retail dining venues. Crucial components of the project included collaborative student study areas and the relocation, expansion, and screening of the loading dock. Outdoors, a new dining/gathering area reinforces the building’s connection to campus and the surrounding historic neighborhood.
