Brother Donnan Berry, S.C. Student Center, Catholic High

Joint Venture with Ritter Maher Architects

New 32,000 square-foot Student Center

Replacing the existing student union, the new Brother Donnan Berry S.C. Student Center is the first new construction in over a decade on the historic Baton Rouge campus. The new space contains the Nancy and Charles Valluzzo Family Student Union, seating up to 600, which is ideal for lunch hour as well as community events and celebrations. The second floor features four glassed-in study rooms, the new Faculty WorkCenter (and private terrace), the Campus Ministry Center, and five classrooms. Outdoors, the Student Commons connects existing buildings, with a monument stair perfect for lunchtime gathering.

“The Student Center is the heart of our community. The beautifully spacious and light-filled first floor area promotes interaction among students and faculty in a relaxed setting. The second-floor classrooms and work centers inspire the commitment to excellence for which our school is well known.”
