BREC Cyber Cafe and Teaching Garden Building

A Joint Venture with Cockfield Jackson Architects

Tipton Associates and Joint Venture partner Cockfield Jackson designed this 5,175 sf Cyber Cafe & Teaching Garden.

Located in BREC’s Independence Park, it is fully integrated into the outdoor plaza built for the Parish’s new Main Library (also a JV project of Tipton Associates). Included in the building program are a café area with direct access to the plaza, a multi-functional space that supports and opens onto a future teaching garden, and meeting spaces for hosting both large and small events. The form employs sustainable building practices outlined by the recently completed LEED certified library and is designed to maximize daylighting and views to the park.
