University of Kentucky Groundbreaking

As part of a joint venture, Tipton and Ross Tarrant Architects are working collaboratively on the 1,000 seat dining hall. “The Commons” is a $32 million, 80,000 square foot structure. “The Commons” will not only add a modern and chic student dining space to the campus but features an allergy free zone for those with food sensitivities, and has a demonstrating kitchen on the 2nd floor. Incorporating cutting edge technology building systems with interactive service platforms, the Design Team is working toward LEED Silver Certification.
