2 Tipton projects received honors at the AIA Baton Rouge Rose Awards on Friday, July 31 out of 23 entries. Creative Bloc received the program’s highest honor, a Gold Rose Award. The New Main Library at Goodwood, a product of the joint venture the Library Design Collaborative, received the Members Choice Award for 2015.
The Gold Rose Award is given for built projects with exemplary distinction from the winning submissions as determined by a jury of accomplished architects; the Member’s Choice Award is given to the one project who gets the most votes from the AIA Baton Rouge Chapter Members.
The event was held on the river terrace at the Shaw Center for the Arts in downtown Baton Rouge. Tipton architects Dan Zito, Lisa Hargrave, Brandon Yan-Hamby and designers Josh Peak, Kyle Daroca, Chris James and Michael Trahan were in attendance.
