The Main Library at Goodwood has been honored with the Library Journal 2015 New Landmark Library Award. The distinguished award, which is only given out every four years, aims to celebrate new libraries that exemplify excellence in design, sustainability, functionality, innovation and beauty. This year the judges from Library Journal chose 11 winners out of over 80 submissions from the US and Canada, named the “New Placemakers” of library design.
In addition to the award, the library was also one of the winners selected to be featured in the American Libraries 2015 Library Design Showcase “At One With Nature.” This library also received the AIA Baton Rouge Members Choice Award and Engineering News Record’s Texas & Louisiana 2014 Project of the Year.
