We always enjoy our Mid City Baton Rouge location and its proximity to restaurants, shops, and parks. But it’s particularly prime during Mid City Merchants’ White Light Night, when the whole city comes out to enjoy Government Street. This year, we’re partnering with our friends at Mid City Redevelopment Alliance for a block party. The festivities will extend out of our office, into the courtyard and up and down Westmoreland Dr., where arts vendors and food trucks will set up shop. Expect free food and wine as well as yard games. The Michael Foster Project, brass band extraordinaire, will heat things up on this chilly night. Listen here to get in the spirit.
Our block party runs from 6 pm–10 pm, but stop by before 7 pm to participate in the Community Mural. We’ll also be celebrating the winner of this year’s Mid City Neighborhood Challenge. Each year we grant participating neighborhoods $1,000 each to collaborate toward a positive change. Read about last year’s competition here.
Let us know if you’ll be attending via Facebook. See you Friday!
