AIA Baton Rouge Hosts Building Blocks: If Kids Ruled the City

Tipton Family Participates in Community Educational Event

Tipton Architect Brandon Yan-Hamby and his daughter Foster, age 5, participated in AIA Baton Rouge’s interactive event “Building Blocks: If Kids Ruled the City“ this weekend. This event partners elementary-age kids and their parents with local architects and construction professionals to introduce the families to the importance of planning, designing, and applying Smart Growth principles in community development. During the free event participants get to build their version of an ideal city. The “Building Blocks” experience emphasizes educating children about the possibilities in their future and engages them to participate in the broader community environment.
