Tipton Associates completed a comprehensive renovation of the National Register of Historic Places building that originally opened in 1935. Existing building study and need assessment workshops with a steering committee revealed the need to enhance building flow, create a formal entry into the building, renovate the interior to enhance building use and student experience, and the need for additional space to accommodate growing program needs. The project includes complete interior renovation of the building to update and modernize the outdated facility in response to growing student population. Additional components of this project were planning & programming, exterior waterproofing, and roof and window replacements. The final phase of the master plan is in the planning phase to upgrade the Honors Lawn between the French House academic and administrative areas and the surrounding honors college dormitories.
