Groundbreaking Ceremony held for BREC Park improvements

This popular community park in Scotlandville opened in the 1950’s and is ready for upgrades. Construction is to begin on Tipton’s design to renovate and expand the recreation center incorporating long anticipated air conditioning, refurbishing the gymnasium and stage, and adding a 6,400 sf addition with weight room, meeting room, new fitness center and game center. J. Reed Constructors are ready to begin the $1.75 million projects expected to be completed in a year while the park remains open to the community.
