Leading the Tipton Team since 1983, Ken Tipton is our most senior member and serves as Project Architect on numerous architectural and planning projects. Under his leadership, Tipton Associates has grown from a local firm to one that works nationally in 30 states.

As an adjunct professor since 1988, and current chair of the Advisory Board at LSU School of Architecture, and past president of AIA Baton Rouge and AIA Louisiana, he has been faithful to lifelong learning and teaching opportunities, and passionate about designing to make a lasting impact. Those who work intimately with him were asked to identify some of his prominent qualities. Words offered were compassionate, visionary, untiring, mindful, generous, humble and unifying. In partnering with Ken on a project, you can expect him to be all of these things in perpetuity. He guides others to recognize community and the life of the space far beyond the life of its initial users.
