LA Tech Lambright Sports & Wellness Center receives 4 Awards

The student center expansion and renovation project now open at LA Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana has been recognized with 4 Awards for design excellence

LA Tech University’s Lambright Sports & Wellness Center was designed in response to the university’s focus to proactively promote a healthy lifestyle.  Renovations and new expansion create a comprehensive wellness center with competition pool, exercise areas, health clinic, classroom, offices, healthy food choices and leisure pool.

2013 AIA Louisiana Honor Design Award: This was one of four Honor Awards given by the American Institute of Architects Louisiana affiliate among a total of 54 projects entered in the prestigious Design Competition by architects throughout the state of Louisiana. The Honor Award is bestowed for exceptional work, easily distinguishable by exceptional quality of design and function.

2013 AIA Louisiana Members Choice Award: This was the only award given in this category, earned by receiving the highest number of votes of the 54 projects entered, among AIA Louisiana members at the AIA Louisiana Design Conference.

2013 AIA Baton Rouge Silver Rose Design Award: The Rose Award is bestowed for exceptional built work, easily distinguishable by exceptional quality of design and function, while the Silver Rose Award further distinguishes from winning submissions. Lambright was awarded one of the two Silver Rose Awards given this year out of 24 projects.

2013 AIA Baton Rouge Members Choice Award: Lambright was the one overall winner of the 24 projects entered, receiving the only award in given in this category for 2013. This award is earned by receiving the highest number of votes among AIA Baton Rouge members.
